Incredible Wedding at the Iconic Sam’s Chowder House in Half Moon Bay

I feel so lucky to have been the one to capture this amazing day!  Marg and John wanted to throw a wedding for their daughter that really encompassed who she is… and boy did they!  This sweet soul of a bride has so much depth, warmth and compassion to all that is around her and in return tends to attract the same energy back.

Rachel and Bud love the ocean.  They love their friends.  And they love their family.  All of these things were present with a beautiful wedding day at the famous Sam’s Chowder House in Half Moon Bay.   What made this day even more special were the small yet big touches these two brought in to their day from the private oyster toast at sunset to the custom written welcome notes to each and every guest, not one mirroring the other… all unique to that individual it was given too… who does that?  Rachel and Bud do!

And then lets talk about Sam’s… obviously the staff and the food are off the charts… but really, how do you go wrong with all you can eat Lobster and a New England style clam bake… the food never ended… it was incredible!

Thanks to all of these fellow vendors for making this day come to life!

Elegant San Francisco Wedding

The elegance of this day from the home rented to get ready at the Marina to the old school church that will take your breath away… simple and rustic and lastly the grand views of the party in the Presidio were all the ingredients of this day.

Cori found a perfect home to get in located blocks from the Legion of Honor, and close enough to walk from her hair appointment at Face West in the marina District.  Plus, I just really loved the old school feeling of a San Francisco home.  After all the details and fun was captured here I hurried over to the church, Swedenborgian Church off of Lyon Street.  This church has it all from the textured stone building and old wooden doors and a beautiful garden attached to the inside that is so timelessly lit by side windows, a fireplace and wood treelike beams that provided a rustic and old world feel into this sacred moment.

The party!  Nothing isn’t beautiful in the Presidio, but the Golden Gate Club in particular has these magnificent windows that really allow you to take in the views.  The tables were arranged in long family style seating that really reminded me of the historical painting of The Last Supper, by Da Vinci.  My favorite most unique part of this day though was during cocktail hour when they had acrobatic dancers serving the champagne… Cori, the bride, is a beautiful silk dancer and incorporated her love of this into her wedding day seamlessly.

Cheers to a happy life!
