This is Lauren and Ron's special day. A day they have been planning and dreaming of for a year now. So when the bridal store called Lauren to say her dress is in, her excitement soon turned to grief as she realized they had ordered the wrong dress… with only a month to go before her wedding, she quickly got over it and in the end looked stunning in the dress that was meant to be. To make matters worse, I have never photographed a day where the bride felt as horrible as she did (she looked beautiful though, you'd never know). At one point through our fun love bird shots at Stanford, she was forced to sit it out and catch her breath, this taking the tone for her entire day. Thus, not enjoying to its fullest capacitiy, the day she had planned for a year. But again, she chose to smile her way through it, radiated beauty from what ever strength she had left and carried on. And lastly, who would have thunk a May wedding would lead to such cold and windy temperatures…. so windy, that the custom framed Ketubah blew down three times and shattered the frame in the ceremony, without anyone blinking an eye.

So many things to go wrong for a day that was so right. Because even after all these “obstacles”, Lauren and Ron's love was glowing more than ever that day. Through sickness and in health, through good times and in bad…. Congratulations Lauren… this is one time I am glad the pictures don't tell the story, because you would never know that you weren't in the dress you intended, feeling as horrible as you did, on such a cold day!

This is the engagement session of JR and Sasha. I was supposed to meet JR and Sasha earlier this year at his sisters wedding. Tragically, Jason, his sisters fiance, passed suddenly, and the wedding never happened they way it should have.

I had the pleasure of capturing Lindsay and Jason's engagement session… we had such a fabulous time, never expecting how precious this day would be. (scroll down on the second page of my blog, and you can view their engagement session as well) My heart still ache's for what should have been a happy ending. The day of their engagement session will forever be engraved in my heart and memory, as well as Lindsays, I'm sure. Lindsay wanted to give her brother the same cherished moment. So she contacted me to capture JR and Sasha's love… and what a love it is. Thank you Lindsay for giving me another chance to meet your brother and his beautiful fiance. We had such a great time and I never laughed so much during a shoot.

What and incredible gift you gave me, as your brother and Sasha were a joy to meet… but also, its a reminder to all of us to cherish and document every moment possible.

Meet Lily. She is my daughters best friend in life. Yes, they are only 4.5, but I have never witnessed, nor felt so blessed to be apart of a friendship that is so endearing. Where ever this friendship may take them, I am so glad Lily is in our lives.

I've wanted to capture their family for so long now, as I really see my shy little Lily blossom and glow when she is around her family. She is always so sweet and gentle, but incredibly soft spoken and shy… until you get her around her family:)

So yes, its another beach session… I have to admit, I do it well 🙂 I love this family… Thanks Conaghans!
